The Unit Converter Add-in for Excel is free software and comes with complete documentation to guide you through installation and use. We welcome feedback. If you have questions or find gaps, please let us know so that we can correct the deficiency promptly. There are also example spreadsheets included with the download to help you get started. Our documentation comes in three main sections.

| The 'byte' was coined by Werner Buchholz in 1956. Derived from the verb 'bite', it was meant to describe the smallest amount of data a computer could use at one time. Convention dictates a byte has 8-bits, where a 'bit' is a space for either one or a zero, but unlike physical properties, there is no strong official standard. |
